How to Distress Denim;;
 

#1;; Nail FIle
 
Just use the rough side of the nail file and either file down the pockets or edges.
 
This just makes small distresses (I don't really now what to call it :)
 

#2;; Cheese Grater
 
This distress is a little more harsh and can make it have a cool white tears.
 
Just take the fabric & grate it like you would to cheese i guess.
 
#3;; Scissors
 
These make super deep marks and cuts in your denim.
 
First cut the lines in the denim then use the edge of the scissor blade to make the rough edges.

You can't change the past! So don't worry about it.

Don't talk bad about other people, because you won't feel happy, you'll feel annoyed or mad.
 
Don't get in a fight because you'll just get annoyed or mad when the other person won't speak to you.
 
Don't call someone ugly, it'll make you look at every imperfection you have.

If your team wins the game & someone else got the winning point, don't think "it could've been me"
 
think "I'm so happy for my team!"

Don't be spoiled. If you don't have the new iPhone 5 think about that homeless person on the side of the road that doesn't have anything.
 
Don't think just because someone else has something (& you don't even want it) you have to have it.
 
Don't spend life comparing yourself or trying to be better than others.
 
Focus on yourself.
 
But don't shut yourself out from the rest of the world.

Fall is here & I'm super excited about fall fashion because its my favorite season for fashion.
 
It's not like summer where you have to where cutoffs & a tank top. For winter all you have to do is wear a cute coat.

I love wearing oversized sweaters with skinny jeans. If you have a oversized or baggy shirt on top, it looks better to pair it with tight bottoms to even out the look.

This is a new trend unlike oversized sweaters & boots. Basically any collared shirts or sweaters or tops with collars
 
(especially peter pan collars which are basically collar that have no corners its basically rounded)

Combat Boots
 
If you have a bit more of an edgy style, combat boots are like a edgier version of riding boots.
 
You can get some with studs or plain or distressed. The pairs with cute patterns on the inside (when you can flip the top over & you can see the pattern).

Flats
 
Flats are like fall's sandals. They cover your toes and then keep them warm. Also they're a little bit classier than flip flops because you don't show your toes.
 
I love the gold cap toe flats & they are super expensive but I love the Tory Burch flats.

They're great for layering with scarves. I love the way they look & there's so many colored that worked for summer like coral & aqua.

Makeup;;
 
1::
Take any foundation that has coverage & use a stippling brush to apply it so you have a flawless red carpet look.
 
2::
Then use a translucent powder to set the foundation with a big fluffy powder brush.
 
3::
If your not as naturally tan you can apply a light shimmer or no shimmer bronzer to your cheekbones, jawline, contouring your nose, & temples.
 
4::
Then apply a light coral peachy colored blush to the apples of your cheeks to your temples to give you a flirty glow.
 
5::
To start the eyes prime your eyelids with a nude base color like Urban Decay Primer Potion or Maybelline Color Tattoo or MAC Paint Pot.
 
6::
Take a shimmery champagne eyeshadow and apply it to your lid with a flat shadow brush.
 
7::
Apply a light bronze color on the lid starting from the middle & applying it to the outer corner over the champagne color.
 
8::
Then take a matte or light shimmery light brown color & apply it to your crease with a fluffy crease brush.
 
9::
Line your top lash line with liquid eyeliner & lightly wing it out. Make the liner start thin & apply thicker as you go out.
 
10::
Ariana always has big dramatic lashes, but if you don't want to apply fake lashes then you can just layer different mascaras.
 
11::
So take any not colored, just dramatic black lashes & put glue on the end & wait until its not watery. Stick them on over your old lashes & hold them in place until they stay.
 
12::
Then apply the liquid liner over the end of the fake lashes to cover it up.
 
13::
Then take a mascara & apply it to the fake lashes to make your real lashes blend it with them.
 
14::
Then take a not super shimmery almost matte baby pink or coral-y pink lip color & apply it!
 
That's the makeup!
 
Hair;
 
1::
Apply a heat protectant to your hair so it doesn't get damaged.
 
2::
Then take a 1 inch curling iron & section off your hair to make it easier to curl.
 
3::
Just start from the end of your hair & curl it up. Hold it for a few seconds & then undo the clamp.
 
4::
Curl all the pieces of hair away from your face, so it frames your face & all the curls will come together like Ariana's.
 
5::
If your hair falls out easily then spray with hairspray now so the curl doesn't fall out before your done with the hairstyle.
 
6::
For her half up/ half down look, take the front right section of hair & twist to the back of your head, behind your ear & secure it with a bobby pin.
 
7::
Do the same for the other side. So both sides have twists. Make sure you don't have a middle part, just part it on the side.
 
8::
Then try to lightly comb through your hair to make all the curls curl together. & Put some hairspray on.

I did a tip on regular hairstyles but today I'm gonna do one for short hair & I ended up having 7 hairstyles so I figured it could be like a week long thing.
 
I don't have short hair & neither does most of the people I know so I can't recommend products for you guys with short hair because I can't try them out. Sorry!
 
Here's your hairstyles for the week:
 
MONDAY
---------
Textured Beach Hair
 
Take a sea salt spray or texturizing spray & spray it in wet hair. Then scrunch your hair & hold it up like that for a couple minutes.
 
If you can put it in buns or braids. You can blow dry it a little in the buns/ braids. And take it out after a few minutes. Then spray with hairspray.
 
Take the front sections of your hair & twist them & pin them back to give a beachy/ mermaid look. You can secure it with clear elastics or colorful bobby pins.
 

TUESDAY
-----------
Waterfall Braid
 
This look is super pretty & girly but all you need to know is how to french braid.
 
Pick one side of your hair & starting at the front french braid it.
 
But instead of taking pieces from both sides of your hair, only take pieces from the top of your head. Let the extra pieces on the bottom side fall.
 
When you get to the back you can secure it when a couple bobby pins or hair band.
 

WEDNESDAY
------------
Half Up Half Down
 
Take the top section of your hair & put it into a ponytail that doesn't stick out. Then leave the rest down.
 
Its super simple & cute. You can put a bow on it or ribbon or just leave it plain.
 

THURSDAY
----------
Side Fishtail
 
This is the short hair version of a side fishtail. Instead of taking all your hair in the fishtail just take the top section of your hair on one side & start a fishtail going down.
 
It shouldn't go back into your hair & get pined it the back. It should start at a little above & behind your ear & end at the bottom of your hair.
 

FRIDAY

Shiny & Straight
 
Just straighten your hair & then put some Moroccan oil in the ends to give it a shiny look.
 
SATURDAY
-----------
Braided Headband
 
This look is super cute but it does take practice. Start with your bangs or front of your hair.
 
Turn your head sideways & start french braiding up your head. You should end at your other ear.
 

SUNDAY
----------
Headband
 
Take a cute sparkly/ shiny/ polka dotted/ whatever headband you like & pull your hair back off of your forehead.
 
On Sundays its usually people's lazy day so this great because its easy/ cute & helps your foreheads skin by keeping hair off of it.

School picture is one of the most important days of school (according to me & my friends LOL).
 
Its not like any other day when you have a bad hair day & throw your hair into a bun. 10 years from now people can look at pictures but they probably won't remember one day when you didn't look your best.
 
So remember that if your thinking about wearing whatever & throwing your hair into a ponytail.
 
But if you try to look nice & you still don't think you are: you look beautiful.
 
Don't get me wrong even if you don't try I bet you look beautiful.
 
Here's some picture day tips;;
 

CLOTHES
-------------
 
01; Stay away from white or tiny prints, they make cameras go crazy.
 
02; Don't wear something strapless because odds are your gonna look naked.
 
03; Pick an outfit (or at least the top) a week before. You probably won't have time to go shopping on a Wednesday.
 
04; Don't wear something with too much volume on top because the camera won't be able to see your skinny jeans or leggings that balance out the look.
 
05; Lightweight cardigan look super cute if your insecure about your tan.
 
06; Try to pick something that only fits with trends now because in 15 years you might look at it & regret it. Try to pick something timeless.
 
07; If you want a timeless print & not just a color: pick lace.
 

MAKEUP
-----------
 
01; Try not to wear bright crazy eyeshadow or lipstick because it might look weird on camera.
 
02; Bring blotting sheets or translucent powder to school to touch up before pictures to reduce oil or shine.
 
03; Try to wear black mascara and/or eyeliner because it will look better than brown in camera.
 
04; You probably know your school's camera if you've gone there before, but if you don't ask someone:
 
Does it wash you out?
Make you look red?
Shiny?
Super Tan?
etc
 
05; Matte eyeshadows are a good option if you have oily looking skin but shimmery shadows look fine too.
 
06; Put on the makeup you'll be wearing for picture day & snap a couple test shots in different lighting.
 
07; The night before make sure you completely wipe off any mascara/ eyeliner/ eye makeup so the next morning you don't have that gross extra product under your eyes.
 
TEETH
--------
 
01; If you think your teeth look yellow or any other weird color then whiten them before. If you don't have time use Crest 3 hours whiten strips they work fine.
 
02; If you have braces don't be afraid to smile with your teeth. My favorite school picture was me with braces in 8th grade.
 
03; Floss & brush a ton the morning before because you don't want any gross breakfast in your teeth/ braces.
 
04; Bring one of those travel toothbrushes with the little ball of toothpaste in the center to school for emergencies.
 
05; If you can, get your teeth cleaned before at the dentist.
 
HAIR
-------
 
01; Don't just think: oh on picture I'll use my new curling wand & wand my hair. Practice!
 
02; Figure out what hairstyle looks good on you. I like straight or loose curls.
 
03; Don't completely change the way your hair look naturally. Remember this is a picture of you at school not the prom.
 
04; Think about doing a little side twist but make sure it looks good from the front since thats the side the cameras on.
 
05; Get a haircut or re-colored a half a week before picture day but only if you really trust your hair dresser because if you go to someone new you might end up with something you don't like.
 
06; Foods that are good for hair are;

SKIN
------
 
01; Try clearing up skin before picture day. I remember in 8th grade, I had terrible skin & it was about a week until picture day when I changed skincare products & my skin completely changed to great.
 
02; Wash your face night & day! Don't be lazy you'll regret it on picture day.
 
03; Stick to a routine. Don't use a toner every 4 days & a mask every 2 to 5 days. Get a routine down & follow it.
 
04; Don't drink as much soda & drinks with sugar & drink more water. If you have acne in between your eyebrows it probably means you need to drink more water. It'll just clear up all your skin.
 
05; Eat foods that help skin like...

I love drugstore makeup because its a lot cheaper then high end & sometimes its a lot better.
 
They're also really easy to get to. Odds are, your gonna have a CVS or Target next to your house more than a Sephora or MAC.
 
Here's some of my favorite drugstore brands, why I love them, & my favorite products from them;;
 

Maybelline New York

This probably is my favorite makeup brand but I really can't decide.
They have tons of great mascaras and they're best known one is probably The Falsies (its in the picture to the left in the set)
 
My favorite products are their great mascaras, the color tattoo eyeshadows, or the dream matte powder because I get super oily.
 

CoverGirl
-------------
This is another favorite brand for me. I love their products & how natural they look on me.
Like Maybelline, their mascaras are great, but I also love their foundations, and all their other products.
Whenever I get makeup from the drugstore, I'll always have CoverGirl, I don't know why.
Also Taylor Swift is a CoverGirl & I love her!
 
My favorite products are the CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion, NatureLuxe Foundation, and NatureLuxe Balms
 
Neutrogena
----------------
This is a great drugstore makeup brand for girls with sensitive skin. My sister breaks out to almost anything & she loves this brand. Their skincare is really good too.
 
My favorite products are the MoistureShine glosses, Healthy Skin line, & their Dry Touch sunblock is my favorite sunblock!
 
Revlon
----------
This brand is sometimes overlooked because their products don't look special & they don't have tons of makeup like CoverGirl but some of their products are good.
 
I like their lipsticks the best. They have tons of colors! Also love Revlon Custom Eyes shadows & Just Bitten lip stains.
 

Rimmel London
----------------------
This brand usually has really cute London flag packaging & has some cute interesting products. They also have Kate Moss lines thats inexpensive.
 
My favorite products are the Rimmel Natural bronzer that is a matte bronzer & eyeshadows.
 
Almay
--------
This is a great "Mom" brand. Don't get me wrong, I love their products but mom's love them too. I don't know why. They're great for sensitive skin & their packaging looks so fresh & clean.
 
I like their Wake Up Makeup & intense shadows.
 
L'Oreal
----------
L'Oreal is also known for their hair products. This brands doesn't look like anything special like Revlon but they have good products.
 
My favorite products are True Match makeup & Telescopic mascara.
 
Elf
------
This brand sorta is drugstore, sorta not. They are sold at Target & online at

which is what elf stands for. Their products are probably as cheap as it gets, & if you've watched $20 makeup Tags on Youtube, they probably have at least one Elf product.
 
My favorite products from Elf are the eyeshadow beauty books & HD powder.
 
Pixi

Another brand only sold at Target. This brand really catches people's eyes when they walk through the Target beauty section because their packaging is fairy themed.
 
Honestly, I haven't tried many Pixi products, so I'm probably not the person to tell you what to buy from Pixi.
 
Sonia Kasuk

This is another Target brand (as you can see I love Target) & their products are modern-looking but are super glam.
 
My favorite is the Hidden Agenda concealer.
 
Hard Candy
-----------------
This is a Walmart brand I think. I don't have a Walmart near me but their products are super inexpensive & really bright & colorful.
 
I don't own many Hard Candy products so I don't know.
 
Physicians Formula
----------------------------
This is a cute natural brand that has very nature inspired products. They have mineral makeup & organic makeup.
 
My favorite is Happy Booster blush & bronzer.
